Hello, dear friends —
I’m back from a completely unexpected summer hiatus. Maybe it makes sense; no one is particularly itching to sit on the couch and write an email when the river is calling, the grass is crunchy but welcoming*, the friends are all gathered on the dance floor, the days are long and the nights are too short.
But the sweaters are out now and pumps of pumpkin spice are back on the menu at TipTop, so it’s time. I’m ready to channel Carrie Bradshaw (hopefully less problematically) and regale you with my inner monologues. I just wish I could think of something to say.
Check back in weekly for our newsletter in yr inboxes and on substack. In the great wind-down that is September, I’m looking forward to settling in. To making time. To mending clothing. To reading slowly. To writing to yall once a week, no matter how inconsequential the subject matter.

READING: I LOVED Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M. Danforth. Think gothic literature stylings, spanning a century, a book, a movie, and a curse! Very good and very gay.

LISTENING: Noah Kahan put out a live album from Fenway Park and it’s giving me the cozy vibes + background people noises I need to actually get some work done.
